How to Transfer an iPhoto Album to a PC

By Greyson Ferguson

iPhoto is the default program used on Mac computers to upload content from outside digital cameras and cell phones. Once the files are saved on the computer, you can view the images at any time. If you have photos saved on a Mac through iPhoto and want to upload the information onto a PC, it is possible. You will need a USB flash drive.

Things You'll Need

  • USB flash drive

Step 1

Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on the Mac computer. Double-click the removable device icon that loads onto the desktop.

Step 2

Click the "iPhoto" icon on the dock and wait for the program to load.

Step 3

Choose "Photos," then click-and-drag the pictures from iPhoto into the removable device window.

Step 4

Close the open window once you have finished uploading the files, then click-and-drag the removable device icon down to the trash bin. This ejects the flash drive from the computer.

Step 5

Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on the PC, then click "Start," "Computer" and double-click the removable device icon. A window loads with all the files stored on the device. Click-and-drag the uploaded image files onto the desktop or any other location on the computer, in order to transfer the images.
