How to Troubleshoot a Vodavi Starplus STSE

A Vodavi Starplus STSE is a telephone system with high-end calling features for businesses. These include conference calling, call parking, call forwarding and call pickup (answering someone else's phone from your own). If you experience issues with your Starplus handset, follow certain troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem.

Step 1

Fix the issue of no dial tone. Make sure the main telephone line is connected firmly into the telephone jack on your Starplus phone.

Step 2

Reset your Starplus device. You can do so by unplugging the phone line from the jack on the back. Wait for a few seconds and plug it back in. This will reset your Starplus phone. Sometimes, a simple reset can resolves issues with your device.

Step 3

Fix the issue of no telephone ring. Press the "^" Volume button on your handset to make sure the ringer is turned up.

Step 4

Contact Vertical Vodavi customer service if none of the above steps resolves the issue. Email online support at "teameast@vertical.com" or "teamwest@vertical.com." Call 800-266-3425 and choose Option 2 to speak to a customer representative.
