How to Upgrade From 3G to 4G

By Cameron Burry

A 4G phone is the fourth generation of cellular communication devices. It contains a high amount of memory and technological capabilities not found in lesser generations. However, because it is often more expensive to hold and use a 4G phone, many individuals stick with the previous generation, the 3G. When the time comes that you want to upgrade, getting a 4G phone is very simple, but may be rather costly depending on the type of phone you have and the service you go through.

Step 1

Check your eligibility to upgrade to a 4G phone. Depending on how long you have had your current phone, you might be entitled to a discount when upgrading to a more advanced phone. Call your cell phone provider to find out what you are qualified for.

Step 2

Visit your local cellular phone store to purchase the upgrade. You can find upgraded 4G phones at whatever store you purchased your current phone at. Ask the sales associate for help in determining what phone is best for your situation.

Step 3

Purchase the 4G phone and have the sales associate help you set it up. The sales associate will be able to explain the ins and outs of the phone on a more precise level so that you do not have to stumble around when trying to learn how to use it.
