How to Use Facebook Messenger
Facebook is a social networking site that was founded in 2004. It helps people stay in touch with their friends, family and co-workers. Facebook offers an instant messenger that allows users to connect instantly with any of their friends that are online at that moment. As of June 2009, over one billion messages were sent per day through the service according to Facebook. Use Facebook messenger from your home, office, or mobile phone, enabling conversation with your friends no matter where you are.
Log into your Facebook account.
Go to your friends online list, which will be on the left hand side of the Facebook page.
Pick any of your friends that are online and on chat and click on their name. This will open up a messenger window so that you can communicate with them. A green dot will appear next to the name of a friend who is online and available to chat, while a half-moon icon appears next to a friend who is logged in but idle.
Type in the messenger window whatever you would like to say. Repeat this with any of your friends that you wish to talk to.
